In the seventh release of the ACHA Rankings for the 2019-2020 season, 8 WCCHA teams are in the top 20, including 3 currently within Regional spots - all of which strengthened their position from the end of 1st semester. Here are how WCCHA fared in the final top 20 of 2019 (rank change / rating change):

#4 University of St. Thomas (+1) - The Tommies have been idle since first semester, but were bouyed by an increased valuation of their win percentage.

#8 University of Wisconsin (+2) - Up two spots despite having not yet played, the Badgers jumped Davenport and GVSU who both were involved in the Miami Showcase last weekend.

#11 University of Minnesota (+1) - The Gophers played new Southeast #1 Florida Gulf Coast two weekends ago, losing both games by close scores of 5-3 and 4-3.

#13 Minnesota-Duluth (+2) - Also yet to play this semester, the Bulldogs leapfrogged Illinois State to gain a spot while Michigan's removal also meant an additional spot up.

#15 Gustavus Adolphus (+2) - Gustavus added a win over Bethel to their resume, jumping Concordia of Wisconsin who split a weekend series with Aurora.

#17 University of North Dakota (+3) - UND overtook UWEC and Michigan State to gain three spots.

#18 UW-Eau Claire (+1) - Idle so far in second semester, Michigan's removal likely accounted for UWEC's jump.

#20 North Dakota State (NEW) - Back in action this coming weekend, NDSU reappears in the top 20 this week.

Although at the time of this writing, the detailed ranking report has not yet been posted, it appears win percentage was restored to it full weight this week. With under a month remaining before the final rankings, expect the next few weeks to be filled with fireworks as WCCHA teams battle for Regional positioning.
