The Hawks traveled to Peoria, IL to face Bradley University over the weekend, winning both games.
12/6: On Friday the Hawks won by a score of 5-2. In the first period, Iowa got on the board first with 4:13 remaining in the period. The goal was scored by Jake Carlson and assisted by Zach Lupori. Bradley tied the game at 1 with a goal that came with just 56 seconds remaining in the first period. Iowa outshot Bradley 23-12 through 20 minutes of play.
In the second period, Iowa scored 2 unanswered goals. The first goal came at 14:32 of the period and was scored by Jake Carlson. Ethan Darby and Ryan Carlson picked up the assists. Iowa’s next goal came late in the period and was scored by Liam Cound, assisted by Devin Decker. Iowa held a 3-1 lead after two periods. 12/7: On Saturday, Iowa completed the sweep with an 8-1 win over Bradley University in which Iowa scored seven unanswered goals.
