Head Coach Joe Ballance nailed down career win number 250 on the road Saturday, September 28th with a 4-1 victory over Marist College.  Ballance, beginning his 11th season leading the Pioneers, has a career record of 250 wins, 66 losses and 9 ties.

Ballance adds to his impressive run with the Pioneers, as he has lead the program to eight ACHA National Tournaments appearances and six Super East Collegiate Hockey League championships.  In 2011, Coach Ballance was recognized as the ACHA Division 2 Coach of the Year for the Northeast region.  He led the Pioneers to the ACHA National semi-finals in 2012 with the team finishing ranked 3rd in the country.

“Joe has been instrumental in taking the William Paterson hockey program to new heights.  In his 11 year tenure he has been able to form a winning culture as well as mold players to be successful not only on the ice, but also in the community after graduation," said former Pioneer and current assistant coach Kyle Garlasco.  “He puts in a lot of time and energy and his commitment to the success of the program and its student athletes is very impressive,” added General Manager Don Bennett.

Congratulations to Coach Ballance!
