Penn State Berks Ice Hockey had a busy opening weekend. The team started off the season with an 8-0 win over Millersville. Returning goalie, Alex Goldbrunner, had his first career shutout in the win. Freshman players, David McQuiston, Zach Talbot, Jake Bolles, and Shane Bartle all netted their first career goals. Captains, Eric DeLellis and Kenny Keene, accounted for 3 goals while Sophmore, Stephen Schwartz also added 1.

The team dropped 8-4 to Cornell Saturday. Eric DeLellis, Stephen Schwartz, David McQuiston, and Mitchel Katz contributed to the 4 goals for Penn State Berks. 

With points this weekend Captain, Kenny Keene, is on 100 point club watch with just 20 points needed to join other Penn State Berks Alumni with 100 career points.

The team headed to Nolde Forest Sunday where they put in 52 community service hours digging drains to help the forest trails. Their work in Nolde Forest does not go unnoticed and we are so proud of our team for dedicating their Sunday to helping the community! 

Next weekend the team hits the road for 2 games against University of Delaware. The team will play at 7:00 pm Friday and 12:00 pm Saturday. Both games can be viewed live by going to www.facebook.com/udD1icehockey!
