With the last two regular season games to be played this afternoon and evening, it's just about time to turn our attention to the Valley League playoffs! 

The format for the games remains the same as in past years. Each series is a best-of-three, with the higher seed hosting the first night, and the lower seed hosting the second (Monday night, weather permitting). If a third game is needed, the teams will return to the higher seed's field Tuesday night for a deciding game (again, weather permitting).

The games begin Sunday evening, July 28, with the following schedule (all games to start at 7 p.m.):

-Strasburg (#1 North) hosting Winchester (#4 North)
-Woodstock (#2 North) hosting New Market (#3 North)
-Waynesboro (#1 South) hosting Staunton (#4 South)
-Charlottesville (#2 South) hosting Covington (#3 South)
