Jeremy Kersten has resigned as Head Coach

On Friday, May 3rd Head Coach Jeremy Kersten notified the team that he has stepped down as the Head Coach of University at Buffalo ACHA D1 Hockey Team.

Kersten has been at Buffalo since October 2012 as an assistant coach, and he took over as head coach in April of 2016.

In his three years at Buffalo as the Head Coach, Kersten has compiled a career record of 68-28-12. Under his guidance, Buffalo has made the ACHA National Tournament each of the last two seasons.

"My time here at Buffalo as the head coach has been an honor, a joy, and a privilege," Kersten said. "When I'm older and I look back, I'll always be proud to say I was the head coach for three years at Buffalo."

He led Buffalo to two NECHL Regular Season Championships and two NECHL Playoff championships, finishing with a 39-6-4 record versus NECHL opponents over the past three seasons.

Kersten began coaching in the ACHA in 2005 at the D2 level as an assistant with Marist Hockey.

Buffalo Hockey has already begun the search process for their next Head Coach.
