Los Bravos (4-5-1)
Los Bravos will try to build upon their big win against the NY Roughriders back in April 28th when they begin their 4 game series against the Dbacks on Saturday (make up at Baisley) and Sunday at Randalls #48 . It has been a long time since both these teams have played due to the bad weather in NYC. Los Bravos are one of the surprising teams in MABL with their horses Bryant Fuentes and Maury Baez pitching well. Yet, on a 4 game series it will be intriguing to see how manager Bravo intends to use his pitching staff. The opener at Baisley might probably feature Bryant Fuentes vs new comer Cheyenne Berges. The Dbacks have hit Fuentes well in the past but with a new look team, Fuentes will rejuvenate himself along with some new sluggers like Dobblestein and Lester Guzman who are willing to give him some run support.
Diamondbacks (4-6)
The Dbacks are coming from a tough two losses against a improving Beers squad. As mentioned before in a previous article, the Diamondbacks are a team who always start off very slow. These past 4 games the Diamondbacks pitching hasn't been up to par since the injury of their ace John Showtime. It will also be interesting to see how manager Chris will use his pitching rotation as 3 out of 4 of these games could possibly be high scoring affairs. On a positive side of things, Waldo Acosta and Rodney Newell has been the Dbacks best hitters so far this season. In fact, the Diamondbacks find themselves in a good position when it comes to 4 game weekend sets. Last season, the Dbacks swept all 4 games against the Mustangs to turn their season around. If they can repeat another 4 game sweep and with John Showtime possibly coming back in a few weeks, the Dbacks will be back in the playoff hunt.
