THE FAVORITES ARE HEADING WEST!

The Eastern Conference Finals were held this past weekend at Hot Shots Arena in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania and there were no upsets to talk about.

In the Pro Division the 2nd ranked Pittsburgh Inferno defeated the 3rd ranked Delco Demons in two games.  Then the number 1 seed Suffolk Sting took care of the Inferno to punch their ticket to the league finals.

It was pretty much the same story in the Semi-Pro Divisions.  In the Coastal Division 4th ranked Specialty Freight Demons topped the 5th seed Moriches Sting in two and then the 1st ranked Long Island Rink Rats ended the Demons season in two games.  The only scare of the weekend came when the number 2 seed Suffolk Sting and 3rd ranked East Coast Impact went to game three before the Sting prevailed to join their Pro team in Colorado at the Finals.

In the other Semi-Pro Division, the Appalachian, the 4th ranked Harrisburg River Monsters skated their way pass the 5th ranked York Typhoon in two games but then fell a little short against the number 1 seed Hershey Typhoon.  We saved the biggest rivalry of the weekend for the final series and they did not disappoint.  The 2nd seed Scottsdale Inferno and number 3 seed Murrysville Shockwave put on a hard fought show for all of us at the arena.  Home floor advantage won out in the end helping the Inferno join the Typhoon in a trip to the Rocky Mountains.

Congrats to all and the West better prepare because the East favorites are coming!
