The IceCats had a successful weekend, playing just one away game at Temple on Friday.

Villanova’s George Clark scored the first two goals of the game. Temple got on the scoreboard with a goal about 12 minutes into the period. Before the end of the first, Timothy Arena scored a goal for Villanova.

The IceCats opened up the second period with 3 goals, scored by Patrick Keough, David Troiano, and Timothy Arena. Before the end of the period, Temple buried a goal with just under 2 minutes left.

Villanova dominated in the third period, scoring 4 goals by Richie Halevy (2), George Clark, and Patrick Keough. George Clark got a hat trick!

The final score of the game was a 10-2 victory for Villanova! Shots on goal were 50 for Villanova and 29 for Temple. Ajay Fernandez was in goal for Villanova.

Next weekend, Villanova will play two league games. The first one will be at home on Friday against Penn State Berks at 7:20 p.m. On Saturday, the boys will travel to play the United States Naval Academy at McMullen Ice at 7:30 p.m.
