The Braves improved their season record to 23-2-1-1 after earning two more wins this weekend. On Thursday, Tavistock travelled to Ayr to face off with the Centennials. The Braves carried the play for a full 60 minutes outshooting their opponents 36-19, ultimately earning a 5-2 victory. Scoring for Tavistock was Drew Gerth, Ryan Donat, Mackinnon Hawkins, Mathew Walsh and Josh Helgerman.
Friday Night in Tavistock, the Braves welcomed the Wellesley Applejacks to town. In what ended up being an exciting back and forth game, Tavistock pulled away in the third to earn the 7-3 win. Leading the way for the Braves was Ryan Donat with two goals. Drew Gerth, Josh Borys, Josh Helgerman, Tate Hilliard and Mitch McKay also added goals. Jensen Van Boekel was outstanding again this weekend collecting both wins.
The Braves have a busy weekend coming up as they play three games in three nights. Friday the Braves will host Paris in the first game of a home and home with the Mounties. Saturday the Braves will head back to Paris, both games are set for 7:30PM puck drops. Sunday afternoon, Tavistock will visit the Wellesley Apple Jacks, 2:00PM puck drop.
