Movember with NYU Hockey

For the next 30 days, the NYU Hockey team will champion the Mo, and raise funds for men’s health through the Movember Charity Project.

Sophomore defenseman, Richie Doherty, kicked off this November through an Instagram post styling his past mustache and bringing light to what Movember is all about, getting people to talk about men’s health.

“I have been blessed in my life so far to be both physically and mentally healthy. I have had the support of my family to get me through tough times and I know some people aren't as fortunate,” said Doherty. “I'm happy I can help raise awareness for men's health by growing this amazing mustache. If anyone you know is participating in this cause, please donate! Together we can stop men from dying too young.”

Movember is the leading charity in facing men’s health. They address and promote awareness for the biggest health issues men are facing today: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention.
