The North Middlesex Stars are extremely excited to announce the launch of 'Emerson's Christmas Toy Drive' in partnership Make A Wish Southwestern Ontario. Beginning this Friday November 10th and continuing on to Saturday December 15th, Emerson and the North Middlesex Stars will be collecting toy donations at the North Middlesex & District Arena, all to be donated to Make A Wish's various 'wish kids' like Emerson around the region.
While every toy is appreciated, the North Middlesex Stars will grant FREE ADMISSION for anyone who donates any of the following NEW items identified by Make A Wish Southwestern Ontario:
The North Middlesex Stars will take Emerson and her toy drive to the streets of Parkhill on November 25th during the Santa Claus Parade where the Stars will be partaking in the festivities once again and will be collecting curbside donations.
"It's very special to be involved in an initiative like this, especially with Emerson," said Stars GM Hayden Maass. "Last year our team and community were able to send her to skate with her Toronto Maple Leafs heroes. This year I think for her, having been recently granted her wish for a pink bedroom makeover from Make-A-Wish, it's more about giving back which is always incredible, especially as we approach the holiday season."
Emerson was given 0% chance of living 48 hours at birth and lives every day with Cebral Palsy, Epilepsy and HIE. Now six years old, and a huge hockey fan Emerson joined the Stars family last season and since then, the bond between the Stars, Emerson and her family has become very special.
