The Braves had a couple of home games this past weekend and were able to come away with 4 more points.
Friday night, the Wellesley Applejacks visited Tavistock for their first matchup of the season. The game did not disappoint as the Braves ended up claiming a 3-2 victory in Overtime as Zach Otto scored just 40 seconds in to the extra period. Jake Wiffen and Ben Wiffen also added goals for Tavistock. Justin Labrie, Brody Oliver, Tanner Johnson and Josh Schindler added assists. Jensen Van Boekel made 24 saves in the win.
On Saturday, the Braves welcome the Norwich Merchants to town for the second of two home games. Tavistock scored early and wouldn’t look back as they skated to a 5-2 win. Leading the way for the Braves was Cole Corriveau and Josh Helgerman both with two goals, Drew Gerth also added his first as a Braves. Assists went to Labrie, Jake Wiffen, Zach Otto (2), Zac Berg and Bradley Smith. Van Boekel made 34 saves to pick up the win.
The Braves next home game is Friday September 28th, as Tavistock welcomes the Delhi Travellers. Puck drop is 7:30PM.
