September 17, 2018, Mississauga, ON – The Ontario Junior Hockey League’s Governors’ Showcase returns to Buffalo’s Harborcenter for the fourth straight year next week, showcasing the league’s players to the hockey world.

All 22 OJHL teams will make their way to downtown Buffalo and compete in two games over the course of the event Monday, Sept. 24 through Wednesday, Sept. 26.

The Ontario Junior Hockey League is the largest Junior ‘A’ league operating under the auspices of the Canadian Junior Hockey League, with 22 member clubs. The OJHL had more than 135 commitments in 2017-18, including 65 NCAA Division I scholarships.

“The Buffalo Junior Sabres and the HarborCentre are tremendous partners that allow for the OJHL to host one of the top Junior hockey showcases in North America”, said OJHL Commissioner Marty Savoy.  “We are once again looking forward to hosting a first-class event for all players, staff, fans, scouts and Junior hockey supporters.”

“The OJHL is a leader in Junior A Hockey and is committed to the promotion of its players. Our annual Governors’ Showcase at the HarborCenter in Buffalo provides a tremendous opportunity and venue for our players to display their talents in front of scouts from all levels of the game”, said OJHL Chairman Marc Mercier.  “We are extremely excited about this year’s event and are looking forward to hosting scouts from across the hockey world.”

Last year’s event in Buffalo attracted more than 200 scouts from various levels of the game, including the NHL, NCAA, CHL and U Sports.
