Flyers Sign Chase Johnson from Compuware

The Leamington Flyers are pleased to announce the addition of American goaltender Chase Johnson. The 6'1- 190lbs Bartlett, Illinois native will be sharing the crease with fellow rookie Ryan Polidori. 

 

Johnson comes to the Flyers after spending last season playing for the Compuware Under 18 program. Last seasonhe posted a 1.99 goals against average and a 943 save percentage. The year prior for the Under 16 team, he posted a .911 save percentage to go with a 2.18 goals against average. 

 

Prior to his time with Compuware, he played for the Chicago Mission AAA program. He was a 2016-2017 High Performance Hockey League champion with Compuware. 

 

Wearing jersey 29, Johnson will get his first career junior hockey league start Friday September 14 as Leamington travels to St. Thomas. For the Flyers it will be their first time playing the Stars since being eliminated in game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals.
