TSCHL Finishes 2-1-2 in ACHA DII All-Star Classic
Date: Apr 16, 2019
The Tri-State Collegiate Hockey League (TSCHL) is coming off of one of its best season in league history, having sent four teams to the 2018 Southeast Regional Tournament. The 2018-2019 campaign kicks off in less than two weeks, and as teams begin to take shape, let's take a look at how the TSCHL Head Coaches think the season will play out.
The coaches have selected reigning TSCHL Champion Ohio University to win the regular season North Division title. Ohio State University is seen as a close second with the University of Pittsburgh and Bowling Green State University rounding out the rest of the North.
The South Division shapes up with, TSCHL Runner-Up, Miami University of Ohio projected to earn the top honors. The University of Cincinnati will be in the hunt for the top spot but comes in projected as second. The University of Louisville comes in at 3rd with the University of Dayton and Xavier University filling out the last two spots, respectively.
The coaches certainly favor the South Division as producing the eventual playoff champ with Cincinnati and Miami in dead heat for who they believe will win the title and earn the auto-berth to the 2019 Southeast Regional Tournament. Speaking of regionals, the consensus is that three teams will qualify for the tournament.
In terms of any teams that might be a surprise, the South Division is seen to be home to two teams to keep an eye on. Dayton and Xavier are believed to be two teams that may be poised to climb, and shake up, the standings.
Time will soon tell how things will shake out in The T.
