The Braves are pleased to announce a number of player signings for the 2018-19 season.
Returning to the team this season are forwards Jake Wiffen, Josh Borys, Cole Corriveau, Zac Berg, Tanner Johnson, Ryan Donat and Mitch McKay, defencemen Brody Oliver, Zach Otto and Josh Schindler and goaltender Jensen Van Boekel.
New to the Braves this season are forwards Bradley Smith, Justin Labrie, Drew Gerth and Ben Wiffen along with defencemen Samson Walsom, Tate Hilliard and Connor Otto and goaltender Anthony Nardi.
Smith, 19, joins the Braves after spending the previous two seasons with the Guelph Hurricanes of the GOJHL.
Labrie and Gerth, both 18, sign on with the Braves after spending last season in the Waterloo Wolves minor hockey system.
Wiffen, 17, was a member of the Tavistock Midget team in 2017-18.
Walsom, 18, was teammates with Labrie and Gerth in Waterloo in 2017-18.
Hilliard, 17, was a member of the Alliance champion Waterloo Wolves Midget team last season.
Otto, 16, comes to the Braves by way of the Huron Perth Lakers Midget program.
Nardi, 18, played the 2017-18 season with the Toronto Marlboros Midget program.
The final roster spots will be contested as the Braves kick of the pre season schedule this Friday, August 24th, at home against the Mount Forest Patriots. The Dorchester Dolphins visit the Braves on Wednesday, August 29th before the Braves hit the road for return dates in Mount Forest on Friday, August 31st and Dorchester on Tuesday, September 4th.
Following the conclusion of the pre season the Braves will prepare for the home opener on Friday, September 14th against the Ayr Centennials.
