DAY 3

Three days are complete. Here’s your recap of everything Bantam Nationals.

Game 8: Team Manitoba vs. Team First Nations, 9:00am

The first game of day three saw Manitoba take on First Nations. Manitoba took the lead in the first and held it through the entire game to come away with the win.

FINAL SCORE: MB 6 vs. FN 3

Game 9: Team Nova Scotia vs. Team British Columbia, 10:30am

Nova Scotia came out fighting this game, trying to take down one of the top teams in the tournament thus far. They managed to score two goals early before BC even had a chance to score one. But in the end BC fought back, allowing Nova Scotia to only score a single goal for the rest of the game.

FINAL SCORE: NS 3 vs. BC 9

Game 10: Team Saskatchewan vs. Team First Nations, 1:30pm

This was a rough game amassing a large number of penalties. With the score set at 6-1 for the First Nations at the end of the second, the third period seemed to be more of a battle of which team was tougher. No goals were scored in the third period by either team, only penalty minutes.

FINAL SCORE: SK 1 vs. FN 6

Game 11: Team British Columbia vs. Team Ontario, 3:00pm

This was a much-anticipated game, as the top two teams from the first couple days faced off. It was a tight game from the beginning, both teams working hard and ending the first period in a 1-1 tie. Second period was much the same, as the defense and goalies fought to keep the score down, and only one goal was scored by Ontario in the entire 17 minutes of play. In the third, Ontario continued their persistence and it paid off, with two goals and a win.

FINAL SCORE: BC 1 vs. ON 4
