Brantford Red Sox vs. Hamilton Cardinals

Due to rainout makeup scheduling (this game was originally supposed to be played June 13), the Red Sox played the Cardinals for the third time in a week. The season series between the two teams was tied 2-2 heading into this game.  The winner of this game would clinch 6th place in the regular season standings, and a playoff matchup with the London Majors.  Familiarity with their opponent would not benefit the Red Sox this evening, as they would fall 9-6 to the Cardinals.

Every Red Sox batter had at least one hit on the evening, with David Mendham, Blake Kauer, and Nic Burnell led the Red Sox offence with 2 hits apiece. Unfortunately the Sox bats cooled down after scoring their 6 runs in the first 4 innings and were shutout after that. 

With the Red Sox securing a 7th place regular season finish, they will go on to play the 2nd place Kitchener Panthers in the opening round of the IBL playoffs.
