The North Middlesex Stars are excited to announce the return of Chris Soares to the Stars timekeepers box for the 2018-19 PJHL season.
Soares, has served as the Stars PA Announcer since the beginning of the 2016-17 season and has become a staple at the North Middlesex & District Arena in Parkhill on any given Stars game day.
"Chris is an absolute professional and he does a lot to help ensure our game days are executed without any issues," says Stars GM Hayden Maass. "He's taken on the responsibilities of scoring the games on Pointstreak while full-filling his duties as PA announcer as well. He's very good at what he does, does not leave any stone unturned and he's a big part of our Stars family."
Through his Strathroy roots as well as refereeing and coaching minor hockey within the community, 'Soarsy' is very familiar with Stars players Sam Baker, Colin Van Rooyen, Cole Campbell, and many more.
Soares has served as News Director/Morning Show Co-host and Strathroy Rockets play by play announcer for 105.7 myfm in Strathroy for the last 10 years. He is also extremely active within his local community and sits on the Board of Directors with the Strathroy & District Chamber of Commerce.
