The North Middlesex Stars announced today that the team has signed F Jordan O’neil.

O’neil, 18, began last season with the Huron Perth Lakers AAA Midget team before returning to his Lucan midget squad to finish out the year. O’neil, who is native to Denfield, appeared in two games as an affiliate with the Lucan Irish Jr. ‘C’ club. In the year prior, O’neil played a first line role on the same Lucan team as Stars D Cameron Hanson, a team that was good enough for the Regional Silverstick title as well as the OMHA Championship.

“Jordan is a skilled player with a knack for the net. His skills, vision and that knack for the net will give him the ability to put up points for us this year,” said Stars Coach Matt Melo. “Our culture here in North Middlesex has really become infectious and I think that for O’neil, in talking with Cam (Hanson) and being around our program here for the past couple months, he really wants to be a part of it and is excited to be here – We’re excited to have him.”

O’neil joins a pretty impressive rookie crop for North Middlesex that so far includes Ethan Porter, Anthony Pileggi, Bryce Twohey, and Curtis Nogueira.

The North Middlesex Stars are currently working on finalizing many different items for the 2018-19 season. These include details for the 2nd Annual 'Battle of 81' series with Mt. Brydges as well as scheduling and various special event nights at our home games this upcoming season.
