LONDON – The London Majors welcomed the Hamilton Cardinals to Labatt Park Friday night in their fourth meeting of the season as the Majors keep their perfect record against the Cardinals following a 8-6 win.

Hamilton would open up the scoring in the first with an RBI single by third baseman Jacob Martins who would drive in Chris Beer who reached on a walk. There would be no answer to the Cardinals single run until the third when London’s RJ Fuhr hits an RBI single to cash in Matt Hexter who advances to first on a single to lead off the inning for the Majors.

Hamilton would respond quickly with two runs in the fourth following an RBI double by Chris Beer as he would also later steal home to make the game a 3-1 Cardinals lead.

Scoreless through two frames, the London Majors would cash in on some timely Hamilton Cardinals errors including a wild pitch that saw a run score, a two RBI single by Keith Kandel and a two-run home run by Byron Reichstein to bring the score to 7-3.

The Cardinals would turn it back on in the eight with three runs on three hits, but it wasn’t enough as the Majors would add some insurance in the eight and take the contest 8-6.

Hamilton’s Chris Lazar took the loss, allowing ten hits and five earned runs while striking out three and also walking three.

London’s Starlin Peralta took the win, recording nine strikeouts and walking two. Kelvin Pichardo would also earn the save on his 1.1 innings of work.
