Cardinals Re-Sign Local Slugger Renaud

HAMILTON – Starlin Peralta struck out 10 over six innings to lead the London Majors to a 6-2 win over the Hamilton Cardinals Sunday afternoon at Bernie Arbour Memorial Stadium.
Peralta (5-1) allowed two runs on six hits and walked four.
Offensively, Cleveland Brownlee went 2-for-3 and homered for the third straight game. He drove in one and scored twice. Byron Reichstein had three hits, two RBI and two runs, and Michael Ambrose had an RBI.
Zackary Gonzalez drove in both Cardinals runs, and Tyler Wood singled twice.
Tyler Howard (0-3) took the loss, giving up four runs on six hits over six innings. He walked two and struck out six.
London improved to 14-8, and Hamilton dropped to 8-14.
