The North Middlesex Stars are proud to announce the signing of Anthony Pileggi of nearby London.
Pileggi, 15, will fill the Stars one and only 'underage' spot on the team this season. The smooth skating defender joins the Stars after spending two seasons playing AAA hockey with the Lambton Jr. Sting.
"Anthony attended a few Jr. B tryouts where he caught our eye. He's a fantastic, humble young man and needless to say we're very excited to have him," said Stars GM Hayden Maass. "He'll fit in well. Our leadership group is very supportive and will take Anthony in as signified by Aaron (Ross) being here today to welcome him."
Pileggi joins Bryce Twohey who is his former championship winning teammate at CCH High School in London.
The North Middlesex Stars are set to announce a six game exhibition schedule on Monday.
