North Middlesex Stars General Manager Hayden Maass today announced that the team has signed Ethan Porter of Parkhill.

Porter, 18, joins his hometown Stars team as a free agent signing. The tenacious forward played all of his minor hockey years with the North Middlesex Minor Hockey Program. Last year, Porter served as an affiliate player with the Stars contributing in a total of eleven games with the Stars including seven all important playoff games.

"Ethan came in here last year and was quick to show us what he was all about," said Stars Head Coach Matt Melo. "He made it extremely hard for us to take him out of the lineup, even as an affiliate. More importantly I think the boys really took to Ethan and were excited when we were able to have him be a part of things."

This fall, Porter will join a long list of local Parkhill talent to have suited up full time for the local Junior Hockey team joining the likes of Stephen McLinchey, Greg Masschelein, Braeden Van Hooydonk, and countless others.
