Storm hurler Mike Pena continued his brilliant rookie year in the NYCMBL on June 17 with a dominant win over the Mud Hens. In seven innings of work, Pena allowed seven hits and three runs, but struck out 15 as well. His Sunday outing was the latest in an impressive start for Pena. The right-hander has posted a 4-1 record with a 1.25 ERA thus far in the Metro League, striking out 49 batters in 38.2 innings.
