Three Sting Players Named to All-State Teams

Various publications have submitted their 2012 Missouri All-State Baseball teams. Braxton Martinez (Infield, Howell North), Jake Henson (Catcher, Howell Central), Hunter Haynes (Pitcher, Mexico), and Tate Mathney (Outfielder, Westminster) have all landed on either the 1st or 2nd Team by several media sources.

Four Sting player will be honored by playing in All Star game at Busch Stadium

The Delta Dental All Star Game will feature Eric Hegger (Infielder, Affton) and Peter Jackson (Outfielder, McCluer North). Last year Sting standout CF Trevor Jones (now at University of Central Missouri) was selected to play in this game.

The PNC Bank/Rawlings High School Showcase will also feature Braxton Martinez (Infielder, Howell North) and Jake Henson (Catcher, Howell Central). Last year three Sting players were honored by playing in this game: Juan Bowers (now at Johnson County CC), Rich Dimock (now at McKendree University) and Lance Jeffries (now with the St. Louis Cardinals Organization).

Congratulations to all of these Sting players on their accomplishments during banner senoir seasons. Good luck at Busch Stadium and continue success on the field and inthe classroom.
