The London Majors rode a ninth-inning comeback on a pair of home runs to defeat the Kitchener Panthers 4-3 in Intercounty Baseball League play Sunday in Kitchener.

The Majors trailed 3-0 going into the top of the ninth before Bryon Reichstein hit a two-run homer to tie the score and with two out designated hitter Cleveland Brownlee hit a solo shot to give the Majors the 4-3 lead.

Starling Peralta came on in the ninth to record the save. Joan Montero got the win, going four innings with one run. Montero took over for Chris Hammond, who started the game going four innings of six-hit ball. He gave up two runs.

Adrian Huen took the loss.

The Majors started the inning with a walk to Chris McQueen followed by a single from RJ Fuhr. Edward Salcedo hit a sacrifice fly to score McQueen. Reichstein then connected with his two-run blast to tie the score. With two out, Brownlee hit a 1-0 pitch for the winning home run.

The Majors are 1-1 on the season. The Panthers come to Labatt Park Friday in what will be the home opener for London. The official home opener against Toronto was rained out last Friday night.
