2017-18 OHA TOP PROSPECTS ANNOUNCED
Alexander, Carlile, Kalezic, McFaul, Pearson
and Snell Named OHA Top Prospects
CAMBRIDGE, ON – This week the Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) is announcing the recipients of the 2017-18 OHA Awards and today we are proud to announce the OHA Top Prospects for 2017-18 as selected by the OHA Awards Committee. The following players have been selected as the OHA’s Top Prospects for 2017-18: Jett Alexander (Goaltender - North York Rangers/OJHL); Declan Carlile (Defenceman - Wellington Dukes/OJHL); Colton Kalezic (Forward - Toronto Patriots/OJHL); Dustyn McFaul (Defenceman - Pickering Panthers/OJHL); Kaleb Pearson (Forward - Stratford Warriors/GOJHL); and Mason Snell (Defenceman - Wellington Dukes/OJHL).
KALEB PEARSON (Forward, Stratford Warriors/GOJHL)
Kaleb Pearson (St. Marys, Ontario) had an impressive rookie season for the Stratford Warriors in the GOJHL, finishing the season with 67 points in 49 games after scoring 39 goals and adding 28 assists as a 17 year old. The 6’0” 182 pound forward played the previous season with the Huron Perth Lakers Midget AAA team and 11 games with the GOJHL’s St. Mary’s Lincolns as an affiliate. This past season Pearson was named the GOJHL Midwestern Conference Rookie of the Year, GOJHL Midwestern Conference All-Rookie Team, and was selected to play in the GOJHL Top Prospect Game. Pearson is committed to Rochester Institute of Technology (NCAA Division 1 - Atlantic Hockey) for 2019-20.
