2018 Green Gael Classic Tournament

As the Green Gaels continue their 2018 training camp in preparation for the upcoming Ontario Junior B Lacrosse League season, the Gaels will host their annual Green Gael Classic tournament on Saturday, April 7th, this year taking place at Darlington Arena in Hampton.

Action will get under way in Hampton at 9:20AM Saturday morning with four games taking place throughout the day. This years tournament includes the Welland Generals, the Wallaceburg Red Devils, the Oakville Buzz, and the Green Gaels.

Four full length games will take place throughout the day with each team playing two games.

The Green Gaels open and close the day, first taking on the Welland Generals at 9:20AM, then returning to the floor to take on the Wallaceburg Red Devils at 4:50PM to finish off the tournament. In between those two games, Wallaceburg will take on the Oakville Buzz at 11:30AM, then Welland will take on the Buzz at 2:40PM with a lunch break from approximately 1:30PM until 2:40PM.

Traditionally, the Green Gael Classic is a great opportunity for players to make their mark and impress their teams coaching staffs. Plenty of intensity throughout the day and great lacrosse on the floor as kids do their best to earn a roster spot.

Entry for spectators is the donation of a non-perishable food item at the gate, or the purchase of a 50/50 ticket. There will also be a barbeque and drinks available for spectators to purchase throughout the day.
