Villanova played back-to-back league games against Drexel University this past weekend, finishing with a loss and a win.

Drexel began the Saturday night’s away game strong, scoring 1 goal in the first period and 4 in the second.

During the third period, Villanova buried 3 goals in a row, scored by Patrick Keough, Timothy Matthews, and Troy Donahue. Drexel scored the final goal of the game at the end of the third.

Drexel defeated Villanova, with a final score of 5-3.

On Sunday after, Villanova hosted Drexel at Hatfield Ice. Drexel scored the first goal of the game, followed by 2 goals by Villanova, scored by George Clark and Edward Klein.

The only goal of the second period was scored by Villanova’s Marc Trotta. Drexel scored the last goal during the third period.

Villanova triumphed over Drexel with a final score of 3-2. Villanova’ s league game record is now 6-4-0.

The IceCats will play Lehigh University on Friday at 7:45 p.m. at Steel Ice Center and Saturday at Hatfield Ice at 7:40 p.m. On Sunday night, Villanova with face West Chester University at 5:45 p.m. at Ice Line Quad Rinks.
