Villanova triumphed over George Washington University at home this past Saturday night.

During the first period, Villanova buried 2 goals by Brian Anderson and and Matthew Mullen. Villanova established a 4-goal lead in the second period with another two goals by Edward Klein and Patrick Keough both on the power play.

Richie Halevy scored the first goal of the third period. Villanova let up one goal at the end of the third, finishing with a 5-1 win over George Washington.

Villanova had 58 shots on goal and George Washington had 26.

Come out next weekend as the IceCats play two league games against Drexel University! Friday’s game is at 7:45 p.m. at Class of 23 Arena and Saturday’s is at 1 p.m. at Hatfield Ice.
