The Stayner Siskins and Alliston Hornets will meet in the 2018 PJHL Carruthers Division Championship Series, a rematch from last year’s series won by Alliston 4 games to none. Game one of this Championship series is on Thursday, March 8 in Stayner.
For the second straight season the Siskins enter the Championship series as the top seed and will have home ice advantage after dominating the Carruthers Division this year. The Hornets are the perennial power in the division; this is their 11th straight Finals appearance (formerly Georgian Mid-Ontario Junior C), winning 9 times, including the last 3 years. The Siskins are looking to end the Hornets’ run and avenge their loss last season.
The winner of this Carruthers Division Championship will advance to the PJHL North Conference Championship against the winner of the Pollock Division Championship. Let’s take a look at how these two teams matched up this year.
