LAKESHORE TAKES 2-0 SERIES LEAD AFTER OT WIN IN ESSEX

Connor Rosaasen scored 6:45 into overtime to lift the Lakeshore Canadiens to a 3-2 win over the host Essex 73's on Tuesday night.
The win gives the Canadiens a two-games-to-none lead over the six time defending league champs from Essex.
Tuesday night's game, played in front of nearly 850 was scoreless after the first period. Matt Smith and Brandon Ireland scored for the winners with Kyle Carter adding a pair of assists. For Essex, Dawson Winchester netted both goals, one coming on the powerplay.
Game Three of the best-of-seven Provincial Junior Hockey League Stobbs Division finals goes Friday night in Lakeshore and then it's back to Essex Sunday afternoon.
