Three Gulls teams that played in Thanksgiving tournaments over the weekend found success.

The Pee Wee A team won the Thanksgiving Classic in Hackensack, New Jersey competing in the AA bracket and playing against all 05 teams.

The Bantam A team captured the 2017 Thanksgiving Hockey Classic At The Pond Ice Arena In Delaware. The Gulls beat The Philadelphia Blazers 4-1 in game one and in game 2 fell short 2-1 despite out-shooting The Silver Stick Champ Delaware Ducks 49-19. In game 3 The Gulls defeated The Jr. Blue Hens 5-2 to advance to the Championship in a rematch with The Delaware Ducks and wouldn’t be denied with the 2-0 win.  All of the boys gave 110 percent and truly won this tournament as a team as the coaches have used the team slogan all season "Team First".

The Squirt A team played in the Travel Champs 2017 Thanksgiving Hershey Tournament. After taking a loss in the first game, the team had to work their way back through 15 teams, the only way to make the playoffs was to win. Coming back from that loss and the team won the next 3 games giving up only 1 goal, with 2 shutouts to make the playoffs. The team fought hard but lost a close semifinal game to the eventual champions 3-1 with a late empty netter. The team only gave up 8 goals in 5 games, the second fewest in the tourney behind the champions.

Great work, Gulls!
