WANTED - Head Coach
Date: Jun 30, 2021
We are just past the halfway point of the 2017/18 PJHL season, and the Tavistock Braves have shown no signs of slowing down. Winners of the last 8 in a row and sitting with an 18-1-0-2 record, good for 38 points and second place, just one point shy of first place Woodstock Navy Vets. Tavistock has 2 games in hand over the Hwy 59 rivals.
Led by the 7’s line of #7 Jake Wiffen, #27 Angus Rowland, and #77 Josh Borys the Braves have seemingly taken off after taking the second place Paris Mounties to seven hard fought games in last years playoffs. A few key additions in the off-season and a few more within the month of November, the Braves are looking to make a big splash come the months of playoff hockey.
Coach Dan Kalbfleisch and his assistants have put in many hours of practice and preparation to craft the type of systems they want to play, and the players have shown that hard work and trying to perfect them is paying off. With 19 games remaining in the schedule, the Braves will look to continue what has been an exciting run in going for the ultimate goal of a Schmaltz Cup Championship.
The Braves renew a rivalry this coming weekend with a home and home against the Wellesley Applejacks. Friday December 1st in Tavistock, then off to Wellesley, Saturday December 2nd, both 7:30PM puck drops. The continued support from our community and fans has been great, keep it up, there’s much more to come!
