2017-18 ACHA Women's D2 Rankings #3
Date: Feb 1, 2018

The latest rankings for the Atlantic Region of ACHA Men's Division 3 -- released on November 15th -- saw a notable net gain for College Hockey East. Three of the four previously-ranked CHE teams moved up in position, with only Cal U of PA falling two spots to #7. Pitt-Johnstown leapfrogged the Vulcans to the #6 position, a gain of one spot over the first rankings period. Fredonia State also moved up one spot, completing a 6-7-8 string of CHE teams at #8.
Penn State Behrend gained the most spots of any team in the Atlantic Region over the previous ranking, jumping four places from #14 to #10. The Lions' place in the Top 10 gives College Hockey East four teams in those coveted positions.
Perhaps the most-significant gain, however, came in the form of a new CHE team in this set of rankings. Robert Morris grabbed the #13 spot in the rankings, adding a fifth CHE team to the mix.
ACHA Men's Division 3 has implemented computerized rankings for the 2017-18, with a new rankings released after each weekend of games. The final rankings period will comprise all games played through February 11, 2018, which then sets the field for the ACHA postseason. The Top 2 seeds in the Atlantic earn a trip to the ACHA Men's Division 3 National Tournament in March, held again in Columbus, OH. The next 8 teams advance to the Atlantic Regional Tournament on February 23-24, where two more teams will earn their way to Nationals.
