The Braves had a big weekend collecting 6 points over the weekend, moving their season record to 14-1-0-2.
Thursday night, Tavistock headed to Ayr for a match with the Centennials. In what was a close and entertaining matchup, the Braves managed to come away with a 3-2 win. Scoring for Tavistock was Mitch McKay (unassisted), Angus Rowland from Zack Otto and Jensen Van Boekel and Josh Borys from Brody Oliver and Jake Wiffen. Jensen Van Boekel was solid in net making 22 saves.
Friday, Tavistock welcomed the Paris Mounties to town. Paris would open the scoring just 1:08 into the first period however the Braves would take over scoring 5 unanswered. Leading the way for Tavistock was Josh Borys with a huge night scoring 4 goals, Jake Wiffen also netted a goal. Assists went to Angus Rowland (x2), Mitch McKay, Brody Oliver and Wiffen. Jensen Van Boekel made 23 saves in the win.
On Saturday, the Braves travelled to Delhi for their 3rd game in as many nights. Tavistock would score 4 goals in the opening period on their way to a 7-2 win. Jensen Van Boekel made 17 saves picking up his 3rd win of the weekend.
The Braves next home game is this Saturday, November 18th vs the New Hamburg Firebirds. Puckdrop is 7:30PM!
