The St. Catharines Falcons lost their fourth straight home game October 20th, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Ancaster Avalanche . 

Ancaster outshot St. Catharines 39-37 in the GOJHL match which took to overtime to decide.

Falcons forward Carson Eden opened the scoring with the only goal in the first period. Eden's goal marked the third of his rookie season. Forward Lucas Smilsky scored the Falcons only power-play goal on 10 opportunities. Ancaster also went 1-10 on the power-play.

Ancaster's win was powered by forward Benjamin Woodhouse who scored all three Avalanche goals en route to a hat-trick. 

Despite their struggles at home, Falcons continued to their road-winning streak with a 4-0 win over the Pelham Panthers. St. Catharines outshot their opponent 39-35.

The Falcons special teams lead the way with two power-play goals on 9 opportunities and a perfect 8-for-8 penalty kill. Hayden Broomhead earned himself first-star honours with two goals in the match.Also scoring were captain Michael Davies and defenseman Arber Xhekaj.

St. Catharines is back in action on Friday with a game against the Caledonia Corvairs at home.
