Three seasons ago, Sean captained the 2015-2016 U-18 team. Last season, Shepard contributed to a strong defensive core on the Stars Premier team that finished fourth overall.

" I have been given a great opportunity in a great organization so close to home. Being surrounded by a hardworking group of guys who push each other day by day to be better makes me feel extremely honored to be named captain. Having started at the 18U level in Syracuse, I have always had a driving factor knowing there is room for improvement and advancement within the program, to premier last year and now the NCDC level,"  stated Shepard.

Sean is a textbook example of the USPHL ' S road map of advancement. Sean started with  the Stars three seasons ago and has advanced each and every season. Individual player development is a main point of emphasis within the Stars organization.

Opponents and team mates know Shepard as a hard hitting, consistent player.

"Sheps is  a guy who brings out the best in every other player. He makes everyone accountable. With his familiarity and growth within our program, he is an ambassador. On the ice, he's consistently contributing in all game situations. This is not the last "C" he is going to wear," commented Coach Kelly.

The Stars are off this weekend after getting off to a 6-3-1 start.
