Richie Hayward // Forward/Defenseman // Livonia, MI

Richie is looking to make his mark while at EMU.   Hayward comes to the Eagles via the Detroit Fighting Irish of the USPHL. Spending time both as a forward and defenseman, Richie should bring versatility to the lineup.  “I decided on EMU because both my mom and dad are alumni.  What an honor to be able to carry on the family tradition while playing hockey,” said Hayward added.  Forgoing his final year of junior hockey eligibility, Richie is ready to make the jump to the ACHA. “I bring a strong work ethic, a great attitude, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to win,” added Hayward.

Danny Collins // Goalie // Fraser, MI

Danny finished his junior hockey career last season with the Motor City Hawks of the USPHL.  Danny comes to the Eagles with aspirations of a good hockey atmosphere while competing for a starting role.  “My game is simple: hard work and dedication to the team.” Collins added.  Danny is also looking forward to growing academically while in Ypsilanti.

Drew Warnecke // Defenseman //Canton, MI

Drew comes to the Eagles after spending time with the Bradford Bulls of the GMHL.  Warnecke is looking forward to earning a great education and being a part of a winning program while at Eastern. “My expectations are simple, I want to help build a powerhouse hockey program at EMU,” said Drew.  “I want to bring a non-traditional style to the game, I like to be more creative and play more of a dynamic game.” he stated.
