The Long Island Gulls are proud to announce that U16, 2002 Defenseman Brandon Chabrier has committed to Northeastern University who are proud members of Hockey East.

“I am proud and humbled to announce that I have chosen to accept the invitation I have received to attend Northeastern University, said Chabrier.  “Having started as a hockey player with the Long Island Gulls, I spent years learning not only hockey but the value of a team and the rewards that come with hard work. I believe that I have found that same atmosphere at Northeastern. I am looking forward to carrying the skills both personal and professional that I have learned with me into my college career at Northeastern and beyond”.

The Long Island Gulls would like to congratulate Brandon and his family on taking the next step in his hockey career.

“We are extremely happy for Brandon and his family.  His skill set and skating ability are attractive assets.  When you combine that with his work ethic, positive attitude and leadership on and off the ice, you get what we feel is one of the top defensemen prospects in the country, said Gulls U16 Head Coach Dan Cassano.

“Northeastern is getting an elite player and an even better young man”.
