Date: Sep 16, 2018

Richfield, MN - With the launching of the Catholic Sports Network (CatholicSportsNetwork.org) the Archbishop of the St. Paul and Minneapolis Diocese will be attending the game on Friday September 1st, 2017 that features the Hill-Murray Pioneers and Academy of Holy Angels Stars. Arch Bishop Hebda will be on hand early to celebrate Mass for both teams.
Academy of Holy Angels Activities Director Michael Kautzman invited the Archbishop after the formation was completed of the newly released Catholic Sports Network between the two member schools Benilde-St. Margaret's and the Academy of Holy Angels. Archbishop Hebda will celebrate Mass prior to the game at 4pm in the school's chapel for both teams. The Archbishop will also lead a pre-game prayer at 6:50pm from the StarDome.
"We are truly honored and blessed to have the Archbishop perform Mass before our game and that is a pretty rare thing," Academy of Holy Angels Head Football Coach Jim Gunderson said. "Not too many people can actually say that he came and performed Mass for our team."
