The Girls Machine Black U14 Champions at the Easton Cup this weekend.

A very successful ending to a 5-year run for the Girls Machine Black U14.  Capturing in dramatic fashion the Easton Cup, a 2-1 victory over Gentry (game was tied 1-1, went to a 4 on 4 overtime, and went to a 7 player shootout.

Easton Cup re-cap:

Pool Play Games:

• Won 4-2 over MPA Monarchs
• Won 6-1 over Team Wisconsin
• Won 3-0 over Border Freeze

Semi-Final Game:  Won 2-1 over Tommy Chicago Green

Championship Game:  Won 2-1 over Gentry (in a 7 player shootout)

This has been a very special and close group of skaters, 5 of whom were with the team from the start of this group from the tryouts in September of 2012 and season start in 2013.  5 others that joined the team 4 years ago and the others that joined in 2 and 3 years ago.

Plenty of hardware won, great memories, friendships and half the team that will be playing and contributing to their high-school programs this upcoming year.  A lot of talented hockey players, great individuals on and off the ice and fantastic families.
