The Long Beach Bombers organization would like to wish the best of luck to former captain, Marcus Viitanen, who is currently playing for Sweden at the IIHF 2017 World Inline Hockey Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia. The 1993-born forward scored 89 points for the Bombers during the 2014-2015 WSHL season. "Liten Maskin" (Little Machine) is still wearing #10, as he looks to earn a medal with Tre Kronor.
Viitanen has played three full seasons at the Division 1 pro level in Sweden, for Kumla HC. He has 72 Points in 111 Games for Kumla, in his young career. Next season, he has signed with Köping HC in Division 1. Viitanen played for BIK Karlskoga and Bofors IK, prior to joining the Bombers. Viitanen finished 6th in WSHL scoring, in his only season in North America.
