PORTSMOUTH, NH. – Wachusett completes the season sweep of the Seacoast Mavericks with a 8-2 win over the Eastern Division foe in the Sunday matchup at Leary Field.

How it Happened
Eddie Baram (Adephi) got the start for Wachusett, going 6.2 inning while allowing four hits and striking out eight in the contest.
Julian Bury (Columbia) got the scoring started in the bottom of the third inning, with a solo shot with two outs in the inning. The Dawgs tied the game in the sixth inning, after Jack Gethings (Fairfield) collected the team's first hit of the afternoon, he scored on a Mike Coggeshall (Assumption) double. Wachusett would tack on two more runs in the inning, as Coggeshall and Zack Tower (Franklin Pierce) came around to score.
The Dirt Dawgs extended their lead in the top of the seventh inning, as Kyle Cala (Wagner) hit a two run shot to push the advantage to 5-1. In the eighth inning, Brandon Morse (Adephi) picked up a two run homerun, scoring Tower on the play. Wachusett added an insurance run in the top of the ninth, as Gethings scored on a Coggeshall sacrifice fly to center.
In the bottom of the ninth, the Mavericks cut into the Wachusett lead with a solo shot by Paul Salata (Barry) to lead off the inning.
