Atwater was able to win both games of the doubleheader by scores of 9-5 and 16-3.

 

Game 1

On the Mound- 

Drew Stahl (Holy Names University) went 5.1 innings and allowed 5 earned runs over that span. In relief, Matt Clark (Modesto JC) tossed 3.2 innings of 1 hit ball and struck out 6 batters. Clark earned his 4th win of the summer. 

 

Nathaniel Ambriz could only go 4.2 innings, surrendering 7 walks, 4 hits and gave up 4 runs (3 earned).

 

Game Summary-

Mason Washington (Modesto JC) led the Aviator offense with 3 RBI and a double. Also, Pete Bizzini (Sonoma State) recorded a 2 run triple in this contest.

 

Jeremy Martinez got the Storm on the board with his 2-run bomb in the 5th inning. Besides him, Anthony Lim wen 2-3 with 2 walks and 2 RBI.

Game 2

On the Mound-

Brayden Bebee (Henderson State) started for Atwater, going 6.1 innings and giving up 3 runs on 6 hits. Bebee was able to strike out 6 Storm hitters. 

 

 

Game Summary-

Ryan Frakes (Merced College) led the offense in the second game. Frakes was 4-4 with 4 RBI and a run scored. Frakes had 2 singles, a double and a triple. Jimmy Tatum (Trinity University) was 3-4 with 4 RBI and 2 runs scored.

What's Next: Atwater plays their home finale on Sunday the 22nd. They will take on South Bay with the game beginning at 1 pm.
