The Topeka Golden Giants grabbed an early lead on their way to an 11-5 victory over Junction City Brigade on Thursday. Topeka scored on a single by Erik Webb in the first inning, a groundout by Jaxon Passino in the first inning, a error in the second inning, and a single by Webb in the second inning.


Topeka  took an early lead in the first inning. An error scored one run for the Golden Giants.


Topeka scored three runs in the second inning. The big inning was thanks to a error and a single by Erik Webb.
Brock Gilliam earned the win for the Golden Giants. He threw two innings, giving up two runs, four hits, striking out one, and walking one. Hayden Wheeler took the loss for Junction City Brigade. He pitched two and two-thirds innings, giving up eight runs, seven hits, striking out one, and walking one.


Chris McPherson started the game for the Golden Giants. He threw four innings, allowing one run, four hits, and striking out two.


Topeka had 14 hits in the game. Noah Hemphill, Christian Roduner, Carson Green, Quinn Waterbury, and Webb each collected multiple hits for the Golden Giants. Roduner and Hemphill all had three hits to lead Topeka.


Junction City Brigade collected 14 hits. Andrew Morrow, Tim Bell, Jake Clark, Matt Westphal, and Tyler Bracht each collected multiple hits for Junction City Brigade.
