LEOMINSTER, Mass. - Brockton uses four homeruns to down the Dawgs 6-1 as  Wachusett fails to string hits together, Monday night at Doyle Field.

How it Happened

Brockton got the scoring started in the top of the fourth inning, as Jake Rosen (Virginia Tech) hit a solo homerun over the left field fence, making it 1-0 Rox. The lead extended in the sixth inning, as Chris Berry (North Florida) hit a three run homerun to left, to push the lead to 4-0.

The Dawgs got on the board in the bottom of the sixth, as Zack Tower (Franklin Pierce) and Mike Coggeshall (Assumption) to make it 4-1 Rox. Kyle Peterson (Northeastern) Aldrich De Jongh (Florida Atlantic) joined in the power showcase by Brockton, with back to back solo shot with two outs in the top of the seventh inning.

Neither team could generate much offense as the Dawgs could not get a run across,  

Inside the Numbers

  • Tonight's game snaps a nine game winning streak for the Dawgs at Doyle Field.
  • This is the second time this season that the Dawgs have lost two straight games this season.
