The Aviators lost both games on Saturday, by scores of 3-2 and 10-1. 

 

Game 1 

On the Mound-

Drew Stahl (Holy Names University) threw 5.2 innings, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits with 4 strikeouts. Brady Mello (Merced College) tossed 2.1 frames as he surrendered 1 hit and 3 walks over that span. 

 

For Top Speed, Eli Dickens was in for 6 strong innings of no run baseball. Dickens limited the Aviators to 3 walks and 2 hits for the game. 

 

Game Summary-

The Aviators offense was led by Victor Tiscareno (Merced College) and Brian Cardone (Trinity University) who each had two hits and scored the lone runs for Atwater in the ninth inning as a come back was brewing. 

 

For the Speedos, Scott Litchy went 2-4 with a run as his batting average now sits at .435.

Game 2

 

On the Mound- 

Matt Thomas (Trinity University) went 3 innings, giving up 10 runs (3 earned) on 8 hits while striking out 2. In relief, Daniel Hermosillo (Simpson University) tossed 2 solid innings without giving up any runs to keep his ERA at 0.00. 

 

Damon Proctor started for Top Speed as he threw 5 innings. He kept the Aviators to only 2 hits as he struck out 8 batters. 

 

Game Summary-

Mason Washington (Modesto College) had 2 of the 4 hits for the Aviators including an RBI. Washington is now batting .280 on the summer season. 

 

Nathaniel Maggio was 2-3 with a single and a grand slam which gave him 4 RBI for the game.
